E-WEEK Banquet February 21, 2008

National Engineers Week 2006, February 19-25

Join the excitement of the celebration at the largest annual gathering of engineers in the state of New Hampshire!

The New Hampshire engineering community is preparing for National Engineers Week on February 17-23, 2008. The highlight of this year’s events in New Hampshire will be an award banquet and engineering trade show held on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at the Radisson Hotel at the Center of New Hampshire located in Manchester.

You can catch up with old acquaintances; celebrate the achievements of the years’ best; and enjoy the words of our Key Note speaker. The evening will begin at 5:30 pm with an exhibit display of vendors and social gathering, followed by dinner at 7:00 pm. The program includes the Engineer-of-the-Year and Young-Engineer-of-the-Year award presentation.

Our keynote speaker is Civil Engineer and Professor, Brian Brenner, PE, author of Don’t Throw This Away! The Civil Engineering Life. Mr. Brenner is a senior principal engineer with Fay Spofford & Thorndike in Burlington, Massachusetts, working on several bridge projects in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and New York. He is also an adjunct professor at Tufts University and teaches classes in concrete design, bridge analysis and design, and introduction to engineering. Mr. Brenner received the Boston Society of Civil Engineers President's Award in 2000, the Clemens Herschel Award in 2001, and the Richard R. Torrens Award from ASCE in 2005.
